Can I Practice Energy Work with My Religion? Understanding Faith and Healing.
Does My Religion Allow Me to Do Energy Work?
Recently, I had a potential client ask me whether it was okay to engage in energy work while practicing a particular religion. I couldn’t provide a definitive answer because I would never presume to speak on behalf of a belief system that I don’t embody in its entirety. Instead, I encouraged the client to consult with their religious leader for guidance. However, when they shared that they didn’t have a leader to ask, I offered a different approach: Does this feel right to you?
When you found my website and read about the work I do, did it resonate with you? Did it open your mind to possibilities, or did it bring up fear and anxiety? I believe the key lies in trusting your intuition. I can’t make the decision for you, but I can offer the space for you to explore what feels right within yourself. Ultimately, this client realized they didn’t feel comfortable working outside their faith, and I completely respected their decision. It’s a situation I’ve encountered often with clients from various religious backgrounds, and the answers are always different, but one thing remains constant: the importance of following one’s inner guidance.
My Religious Background
It’s important for potential clients to know a bit about my own religious background to understand where I’m coming from. For most of my life, I considered myself agnostic. I didn’t feel drawn to any one religion in its entirety, but I believed in some vague, powerful force guiding the universe. As I’ve grown in my spiritual practices, my views have shifted dramatically. I’ve been fortunate enough to witness numerous miracles in people from all walks of life, which has led me to deeply trust that there is a power beyond what we can fully understand.
Today, I identify as an Omnist, someone who recognizes and honors the wisdom and legitimacy of all religions.
What Does Being an Omnist Mean in Practice?
Being an Omnist means that I respect and value different belief systems and practices that I have encountered throughout my life. I find truth in many religions and try to incorporate practices that resonate with me. For example, I see the Christian commandments as sound principles for living a good life. The tradition of sitting Shiva after a loss in Judaism is a meaningful and compassionate practice. I admire the Buddhists’ quest for inner peace and detachment from worldly possessions. I’ve been able to find something valuable in nearly every religion I’ve explored, and I respect those who practice them.
In my energy healing work, I do not seek to impose my own belief system onto others. Instead, I strive to hold a space of openness and respect for each person’s faith. What matters most is that your faith or belief system leads you to growth, peace, and alignment. I believe that regardless of which path you walk, religion should be a tool to help you become a better person, to find safety, guidance, and peace in your life.
Why Energy Work is Open to All
Though I once longed for a deeper connection to a particular faith, I now understand why that wasn’t meant to be part of my personal journey. As an energy healer, I’m meant to support anyone who feels called to explore energy work, regardless of their religious background. My openness to all religions allows me to connect with individuals from diverse spiritual paths and to help them find healing, peace, and transformation.
I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with people of all faiths and backgrounds, and I hold that privilege with great respect. At the end of the day, energy work is not about imposing a belief system, but rather about supporting your personal journey toward balance, healing, and growth. If you feel called to explore energy work, I welcome you with an open heart, and I trust that you will find the path that best aligns with your values and beliefs.
